You’ve been approved for Atmos checking and savings. Congratulations on taking this critical first step towards taking climate action with your FDIC-insured deposits.
Now you can fund your account!
Option 1 (Recommended for new accounts) : Bank transfer (ACH)
Log into your external bank account and search for the transfer or ACH option (may also be called add external bank account or similar). Depending on your bank, you'll be presented with 2 options: link with Plaid or send micro-deposits.
If your institution supports Plaid, search for Atmos Financial when the dialogue box appears and you'll be prompted to enter your username and password. It should look like this:
Plaid may not be an option for all banking services providers; in that case, you'll be presented with the option to add Atmos via micro-deposits. Your bank will ask for your account and routing numbers which can be found by navigating to Move Money > Add/Receive Funds. The receiving bank information is under our partner financial institution, Five Star Bank.
Please be mindful whether you are capturing information for your checking or savings account as your external financial institution may require account type.
Please note: You must be an owner or co-signer on the other/external account to use it for bank transfers.
You'll return to your bank's site to enter the account and routing numbers and your bank will send two small deposits to your Atmos account. Micro-deposits can take 1-2 business days to arrive in your Atmos account; once you see them, log into your external financial institution to enter the amounts. Once verified, you'll be able to set up bank transfers to and from Atmos. Please be mindful of daily/monthly transfer limitations that may be imposed by your other banking provider.
Note: Please limit initial inbound bank transfers to a maximum of $15,000.
Option 2: Wire transfer
Your new Atmos account accepts wire transfers from external financial institutions. First, login to your Atmos account and navigate to Move Money > Add/Receive Funds > Select account to fund. You’ll see the Beneficiary and Receiving Bank Details that you can provide to your bank to initiate the wire.
Note: while Atmos does not charge fees for wires, your external bank account may do so.
Option 3: Direct Deposit
Login to your Atmos account and navigate to Move Money > Add/Receive Funds > Select account to fund > Direct Deposit Form. You’ll then download the form to submit your bank information to your HR software or representative at your company. You can learn more about this process here.
Option 4: Check Deposit
*Note this option is not immediately available; you must first complete the Document Verification listed in the security tab of your account on your account.
The mobile check deposit feature will be available to you in the move money tab on the Atmos app. Here, you will take a photo of the front and back of the check you would like to deposit.
Step 1 - Download the Atmos Financial mobile app from your phone's App or Play store.
Step 2 - Open the mobile app and navigate to Deposit a check under Move Money
Please note: Mobile check deposit limitations are quoted in your Atmos web and mobile applications.
After you deposit a check, it takes 5 business days for the funds to become available in your account.
