You may have received an email from Evolve stating certain personally identifiable information was involved in a recent data breach. If you had an open account with Atmos Financial prior to August 2023, your information may have been included in the leak. If you had an account after this time, your information was not affected.
This breach occurred in Evolve’s systems, not Atmos Financial. If your information was compromised, Evolve will include specific details about the information that was leaked in an email. Included in that email is information about the complimentary 24‑month membership to TransUnion’s credit monitoring and identity theft protection services.
All website experiences at Atmos are encrypted to the highest standards. This includes enterprise-grade SSL certificates providing encrypted data transmission across all of our products. Atmos accounts time-out after a short duration to ensure a web browser isn’t accessed illegitimately.
Our customers have a part to play in keeping their accounts secure; we recommend setting a strong password, enabling two factor authentication and checking your accounts regularly to monitor for unauthorized transactions. Atmos will never ask you for login credentials or security codes.
Additional precautions to protect your funds include:
- Freeze your credit reports at Equifax, TransUnion, and Experian. Additional guidance from the US Government can be found here.
- Add fraud alerts to your credit reports.
- Utilize a credit monitoring service to stay informed about any unauthorized attempts to access your credit reports.
We appreciate our customers trusting us with their funds to create climate-positive change in the world and do not take that responsibility lightly. We'll never sell or share your personal information for commercial purposes. Outlined in our Terms of Service, we may share certain account information if required by law. Please feel free to reach out to our support team at support@joinatmos.com if you have additional questions or concerns.
